Responsibilities
The Marketing Strategist will lead strategic ideation and project management of growth and retention initiatives for the regional marketing organization in California. The primary objective for this individual is to lead cross-functional efforts to improve the customer experience and increase customer loyalty. The candidate will partner closely with the call centers, operations and marketing teams to develop and monitor key performance metrics and provide thought leadership around strategic initiatives to drive towards continuous improvement. The candidate must possess strong critical thinking and analytic prowess, along with the ability to present and explain findings to senior leaders in a lucid manner accompanied by clear actionable plans.
Deliverables Include:
Develop and conduct data analysis to identify areas of opportunity and determine root cause
Project manage multiple cross-functional teams both local and national
Produce and present weekly program updates for senior leadership
Manage ongoing CRM programs and continue to evolve treatments and effectiveness
Partner with Verizon Lean Six Sigma (VLSS) and functional area leaders to ensure initiatives are aligned with Verizon objectives
Ideate and execute new marketing initiatives aimed at engendering customer loyalty
Work with 3rd party vendors to execute critical retention initiatives and monitor overall performance of those programs
Work with competitive intelligence team to produce timely and relevant internal communications that enhance the knowledge base of our customer-facing workforce
Qualifications
BA or BS in Marketing, Economics, Business, Finance or related field or equivalent experience required; 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Exceptional computer skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel (i.e. v-lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.), MS Access and MS PowerPoint
- Team-oriented with the ability to interact with others across all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated, able to produce high quality work with little oversight
- Highly accountable, able to handle a high degree of responsibility and meet commitments on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills - including project plan documentation, timelines and action item assignments
- Perspective that team success equals personal success
Verizon has announced plans to sell a part of its Wireline operations to Frontier Communications. This position will be included as part of the planned sale.
