Candidates should have an AA degree in electronics or equivalent experience with 2 to 5 years' on the job; with preference given to applicants with Hi-Reliability military and space electronics experience. Required skills are a thorough understanding of microwave test techniques and equipment, with a broad understanding of modules such as amplifiers, filters, synthesizers, and mixers in the 5 MHz to 50 GHz frequency range. Candidates will tune and test a higher level assembly integrated with these modules. Testing includes environmental tests such as vibration, thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, and EMI/EMC tests. Tuning is accomplished by gold ribbon bonding of internal matching networks on ceramic substrates.
