Skyworks has openings for Fabrication Technicians. The Fabrication Technician performs wafer fabrication functions in the production of semiconductor devices in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The Fabrication Technician completes tasks and assignments through operating procedures and specific oral and written work instructions to meet departmental productivity and quality goals. The Fabrication Technician maintains proper documentation and inputs data into the manufacturing system. The Fabrication Technician must understand and follow safety, housekeeping, clean room, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), part handling and equipment usage rules. All manufacturing occurs within a clean room environment which is particulate, temperature, and humidity controlled. Technician must adhere to clean room protocol and work practices. The environment is a Class 100 clean room where the employee is fully gowned in a coverall with hood, booties, safety glasses and nitrile gloves. This gowning is necessary to prevent particulates from interfering with the micro circuitry manufacturing. High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Candidates must have the ability to perform High School level mathematical calculations and must possess basic writing skills. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand and follow oral instructions and written procedures, as well as communicate effectively with others. * Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 lbs. * Must be comfortable working with and around chemicals. * Position requires wearing clean room attire (coverall, hood, booties, safety glasses and nitrile gloves) * Ability to work a compressed workweek schedule (three 12-hour days a week and one 12-hour swing day worked every other week). * Ability to work holidays - clean room operates 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Shift Schedule as follows: A2 - Works every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and alternating Saturdays from 5:24 pm - 5:35 am.
