Come Join our Team!GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES – The Environmental Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of the facility in accordance with the facility quality standards.DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:• Provides a safe and clean environment for patients and personnel.• Maintains knowledge of safe use and potential dangers with cleaning chemicals.• Vacuums, dusts, and mops facility according to established schedule.• Disposes of facility waste as appropriate.• Assists in patient transportation.• Assists in OR turnover by cleaning rooms between cases.• Removes and replaces sharps containers as necessary.• Accurately completes environmental logs for Refrigerator temperatures, OR temperatures, and humidity.• Assists in stocking and replenishing supplies.• Maintains adequate cleaning supplies and notifies purchaser of other needed supplies.• Assist in specimen transportation.• Assist in emergency situations as directed.• Reports to supervisor needed repairs or maintenance of equipment or building.• Attends and participates in staff meetings, and in-service programs.• Participates in Best Practices and Quality Improvement Programs.• Assists in preparation for and compliance with regulatory agency inspections.• Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.&#xxxxx; Other duties as assigned.
